Assignment #9: Online Applications & Tools
Zoho writer seems like it would be useful if we weren't on a network and able to share documents quickly through the network. Some of our committees might find it useful when we are dealing volunteers that do not have access to computers on our network. Our campaigners could also use it to collaborate with volunteers at their accounts.
It has been interesting figuring out how to have multiple users access a document at the same time. I also like the feature that you can publish to either .pdf or LaTex formats directly.

Having a organizational network or intranet is an awesome tool and I can see how it would challenge your need for a zoho-type tool. A benefit of zoho that I don't think you get elsewhere is that you can save, edit and access your documents anywhere, on any computer But again, if you always work from the same computer and you don't take work home...then that is less important.
Also, if you send files to people out side your organization who do not use the same software as you, with zoho you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.
